Politic: Jimoh Ojugbele Eyes Speaker of House


As the inauguration of the 8th legislative assembly draws nearer, the race for the position of the speaker of the House is becoming more intense. The newly elected member of the House representing Ado Odo/Ota Federal constituency, Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele has indicated his interest in the exalted position.


As a 2nd timer, having earlier served between 2003 and 2007, he heavily relies on his acquired experience as a solid advantage.

During this period, he was the Deputy Chairman; Petroleum Refinery and Product Marketing and member other committees which included Water Resources, Housing and Habitat, Youth Sports and Social Development.


Findings revealed that the current minority leader Femi Gbajabiamila of Lagos state and Leo Ogor, the incumbent majority leader are also interested and have started scheming for the position.
