Organize Special Prayer For Amosun 2nd Term Bid
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s 2nd term bid
received a spiritual boost on Monday, 6th April, 2015, as a body of
traditionalists from the state under the aegis of Ifa Olokun Foundation
organized a special prayer at their headquarters at 2, Ajigbotifa Temple,
Ewupe, Ota, to intercede for re-election of the governor in the April 11th
gubernatorial elections.
According to the Founder/President of the foundation, Chief
Fakayode Faluade Anikinnikun, the Olu-Omo Edu Agbaye and Olu-Ifa of Yoruba Land
but popularly known as Kayode Ajigbotifa, the special prayer he referred to as
Etutu and Irubo (Appeasement of the gods of the land through sacrificial
offering of a ram) on behalf of the governor was necessary to ward off every
spiritual forces that might want to stand in the way of the “performing”
governor and his well-deserved victory at the election.
Meanwhile, one of the representatives of the governor at the
special prayer, Prince Adeniyi Talabi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth
Leader in Ota, came with goodwill message from the governor who he said
appreciated the contributions of Ifa Olokun Foundation members who were always
present with their banners at most of the governor’s campaign rallies across
the state.
Earlier, Director of Media to the foundation, Mr. Gbenga
Adeyanju, Publisher of PEP Magazine, in his introductory remarks hinted that
the large turnout at the prayer session was made up of members of the
foundation across the 20 Local Government Areas in Ogun State. And he encouraged
all of them to ensure that they vote for the governor on the day of the
election.
