Nollywood Producers Guild USA Congratulate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Ben Murray Bruce  

The Nollywood Producers Guild, USA has expressed its heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria's President-elect Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement issued by the guild after the announcement of the election results, the President of the guild, Oliver O. Mbamara Esq., said, “We the Nollywood Producers Guild in USA wish to congratulate Nigeria's President-elect Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on his electoral victory while also applauding the statesmanship of the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan for his prompt concession and acceptance of the results of such a tense and close election. We are eager to contribute our quota towards building a better Nigeria, and we look forward to sitting down in a meeting with the new administration to discuss ways our guild could serve to help improve Nigeria internationally and locally. Congratulations Mr. President-elect.”

The Guild President went on to say, “We also congratulate Mr. Ben Murray Bruce (SilverBird Group Chairman) on his senatorial victory. Mr. Bruce has contributed immensely to the growth of Nollywood globally. As the visionary he is, and with him at the corridors of power, Nollywood and Nigeria are in the right hands. Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of the guild, Hollywood based filmmaker, Mr. Pascal Atuma in regard to the sentiment being expressed by the likes of popular actress, Tonto Dike, said, "We the USA Nollywood Producers Guild can authoritatively say that we did not sell our vote, voice or choice. We stand for what is best for Nigeria at all times and we support the fight for a better Nigeria in all ramifications. We are pleased that General Buhari has peacefully emerged as our new leader and we look forward to working closely with him in any capacity for the growth of our nation.”
