NDDC, Annylove partners to promote peace

Nigeria front-line gospel/inspirational artiste, Annie Emmanuel Ibrahim well known as Annylove whose latest single Peace Around the World featuring Nigerian all-stars is making waves, is partnering with the Nigeria Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to promote peace across to country.

Through the years, the singer has continued to show unrelenting commitment to her annual peace concert which brings renowned gospel artists together in an atmosphere of worship. Sammie Okposo, Onyeka Onwenu, Bouqui, Omawunmi among others have grace the event. However, this year Anny decided to take the event a notch higher as she gets the endorsement of NDDC. The single Peace Around the World off her yet to be released third album was recently endorsed Niger Delta Development Commission as a peace initiative worthy of recognition and support.

Peace Around the world which was produced by Dr Frabz parades an all-star cast of A-list artistes in the country the likes of Annylove, Sammie Okposo, Jaywon, Essence, Lamboghini, Charles Granville, Sultan, Ibitayo Jeje, Onos, Sebina and Henrisoul. The video was shot by Frizzle and Bizzle.

Unlike the previous years, Anny’s Peace concert is going to involve a series of activities which include a roadwalk in Abuja, Port-Harcourt and Lagos. It will also include a visit to prison as well as ghettos across the country. 

Speaking concerning the song, Anny said, “The song was is not just about me, I needed to bring in people from different ethnic groups to lend their voices to my message of peace in Nigeria and around the world. That is why an organization like the NDDC which is tailored to cater for the Deltans still had ears for the project because of the message of peace we are preaching”.

In a statement by the Head of Corporate Development Ibitayo Abosede, the NDDC reiterated its commitment to the progress and development of the country no matter the area. Abosede said the NDDC was willing to support any person or group with an idea or project that would help foster peace and love among the people.

Some of the artistes that participated in the song also gave reasons on why they decided to lean the voices. Lamboginny sai, “We can never preach enough about peace. Each generation always has something to do with peace. This is our time and we need to preach it everywhere because that is the only way we can conquer”.

On her part, singer Essence said there was a need for peace because without it, we can’t move about freely and if there was no peace, we will not be here today.

According to Onos, “The song and video are great initiatives and I felt proud to lend my support to it and I believe that the project would change the life of someone somewhere in the world and they will change for the better”.
