Just one day after Nick Cannon confirmed that he and Mariah Carey are living apart, a new report claims the legendary songstress is making sure her loose-lipped husband keeps his trap shut as they figure out divorce proceedings.
Sources close to the couple claim the pair’s lawyers have finalized a confidentiality agreement as part of their divorce. While the “Beautiful” singer can announce the split on her own terms, Nick is reportedly not to say one word about it.

Considering the America’s Got Talent host has a serious case of word vomit, he’ll have to be especially careful or he’ll be paying the big bucks.
The report claims if Nick, 33, says one word about it, he’ll be faced with “severe financial penalties.”
The couple, who married in April 2008 and welcomed twins Monroe and Moroccan three years later, have been plagued with split rumors over the past several months.
(Multiple reports say Mariah had it after Nick talked about his sexual conquests — including Kim Kardashian — during a radio interview back in March.)
“There’s trouble in paradise… we have been living in separate houses for a few months,” Nick confirmed to The Insider. “My main focus is my kids.”
Luckily, Nick’s allowed to discuss the separation, but when it comes to divorce, fella better pipe down or be ready to pay up.
